Sam Raimi has given Spider-Mansupporters a spark of hope as he isn't entirely dismissing the possibility of a fourth movie withTobey Maguire, stating he'd "love" to do it if "the day might come".
Tobey Maguire, who played The character of Spider-Man in Sam Raimi's movies featuring the web-slinging hero between 2002 and 2007, returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universein 2021 to take on his role again in the collaborationSpider-Man: No Way Home.
Raimi made a return to the MCU to directDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022. Since then, supporters have been questioning whether Raimi and Maguire will collaborate again for a fourth movie, particularly as the idea of multiverses now allows various versions of Spider-Man to coexist at the same time.
At the Grammy ceremony on Sunday, the Send Help directordiscussed how fans appreciated the collaboration between Maguire and Andrew Garfield's portrayal of the superhero, from Marc Webb'sThe Amazing Spider-Man, and The present-day Spider-Man in the Marvel universe, portrayed by Tom Holland.

Yep, they really liked him inSpider-Man: No Way Homewith the original characters. Doc Ock and the Green Goblin, portrayed by Alfred Molina andWilliam Defoe," Raimi said to the Associated Press.
So, I believe the children would enjoy seeing him. I mean, at the moment, Marvel is doing very well on their own path with their own Spider-Man and where he is connected with the Avengers and other superheroes.
So, I don't believe it's logical at the moment to end their impressive and successful streak, just so I can create another Spider-Man film. However, I would really like to. There could be a time in the future when I get the chance to do it.
This seems to be a change from Raimi's statements from last week, when he mentionedScreenRant that it wouldn't "be suitable for me to return and attempt to revive my version of this story," as he had "passed the responsibility on to another person."
"And I believe they must continue with the narrative and the audience that is now following the torchbearer," he stated.
In April last year, Raimi mentioned he had come across the rumors of aSpider-Man 4, but wasn't certain if Marvel would be interested.
"I read that, but I haven't started working on it yet," he said.CBR. "I mean, Marvel and Columbia are doing really well with the current Spider-Man, and the direction they're taking, and I don't know if they'll come back to me and say, 'Well, people, we can also tell that story!' I'm not sure, but I love all the new Spider-Man films. I loved"Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was truly, extremely impactful to see Tobey in it again.
