- TG6 reports ongoing gold mineralization at the Van Uden project in Western Australia
- Recent assays have shown intercepts as high as 2.9426g/t, indicating shallow extensions to the resource.
- Company planning to commence diamond drilling prior to a resource announcement
Special Report:TG Metals reports that the most recent drilling outcomes at its Van Uden project in Western Australia have validated the ongoing presence of the existing resource at deeper levels, along with extensions closer to the surface.
A past producer, TG Metals’ (ASX:TG6) Van Uden has a current resource of 6.35Mt at 1.1g/t, containing 227,140oz of gold, and is situated near the third-party Marvel Loch (operational) and Edna May (under maintenance) gold processing facilities.
Thus far, tests from 52 RC drill holes have yielded the highest results of:
- 13m grading 2.26g/t gold from 48m, featuring 1m at 9.17g/t from 55m
- 13 metres at 1.48 grams per tonne gold from 18 metres; and
- 10m with 1.75g/t gold from 44m, including 1m at 8.55g/t Au from 45m.
The initiative focused on expanding resources and conducting infill drilling, identifying several gold zones and verifying the continuity and shallow extensions of the project's resource.
The findings from 24 drillholes are still pending, including additional exploration drilling conducted to the south of the existing Van Uden reserve.
A revised resource assessment is expected this quarter for the project located within the developing Forrestania gold region of Western Australia.
Diamond drilling kicks off
Diamond drilling has commenced to expand the resource and gather geotechnical information for upcoming mining operations.
"Test results are still being received from the December quarter 2025 drilling project at Van Uden," said TG6 CEO David Selfe.
They verify the ongoing nature of the mineralised trends, with results anticipated to contribute substantial gold ounces to an updated MRE scheduled for release in March.
Recent work has started on diamond core drilling, which is expanding on some previously drilled reverse circulation holes and is supplying essential geotechnical data to support mining investigations.
We are eager to receive the remaining RC drill assay results and our initial diamond drill core samples.
Drill outcomes increase assurance that extensions above will be discovered through additional shallow drilling, with current results anticipated to extend the conceptual pit boundary at Van Uden further west.
Additional drilling is also scheduled for the future at the Gold City site.
