Anya Taylor-Joywas at the Apple TV Press Day in Santa Monica,Californiaon Tuesday following the imprisonment of a burglar who entered her London residence.
The 29-year-old actress made her debut appearance following the recent news, donning a leather pencil skirt with a high leg slit as she walked the red carpet.
She paired the high-waisted piece with a form-fitting long-sleeved top and completed her look with a pair of elegant heels.
Anya will take on a leading role in the new television drama, Lucky, set to debut on the streaming platform in July.
Striding along the red carpet at the Barker Hangar, she was accompanied by her co-star Timothy Olyphant at the gathering.
Lucky is adapted from Marissa Stapley's book with the same title, focusing on the main character (portrayed by Anya) as she tries to leave behind her previous life.crime.


The show also features Golden Globe winner Annette Bening and Oscar-nominated Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor among its impressive ensemble.
Anya's visit was made by a robber armed with a crowbar, who subjected her to a frightening experience when he entered the luxurious house inLondon, was jailed.
Convicted offender Kirk Holdrick, aged 43, was one of two individuals wearing masks who forced their way into the luxurious home in February 2023, during an incident that could have been directed at the Hollywood celebrity.
Taylor-Joy's rockstar husband, Malcolm McRae, faced the intruders and locked himself and his wife, 29, inside a bedroom.
He had only a lamp to defend himself as Holdrick and his partner tried to force open the bedroom door using a crowbar.
However, McRae was able to intimidate the intruders by yelling, "I have a gun, I have a gun."
The method the burglars used to enter the bedroom, instead of just taking valuable items, indicated to prosecutors that they were specifically after Anya.
Following McRae's firearm statement, Holdrick and his accomplice in wrongdoing left the residence without anything.





Holdrick, who had a short relationship with Hannah Voyan, a member of the The Only Way Is Essex cast, received a life sentence in 2005 for violent robberies targeting a cash transport van and a jewellery store.
He was sent back to prison to complete his life sentence following his recent crimes, and in November he received an additional 12-year term for threatening a mother and daughter with a gun during a terrifying £220,000 Sandbanks property break-in.
Holdrick has received an additional three-year prison term for the burglary case involving Taylor-Joy and her spouse.
Only nine days following the London attack, Holdrick launched another one, in asecond residential break-in where a woman and her daughter were threatened with a firearm, restrained and confronted with aggression.
He and his accomplice, Ashley Fulton, posed as police officers during the raid at the affluent area of Sandbanks, which overlooks Poole Harbour in Dorset, and threatened to burn the daughter with an iron and shoot her in front of her mother if she didn't open the family safe.
A 29-year-old actress, who has won a Golden Globe, is known for her roles in the acclaimed Netflix series The Queen's Gambit, the Dune films, and Peaky Blinders. She maintained a strong appearance while walking the Baftas red carpet a week following her difficult experience.
She was residing at the London residence on February 12, 2023, along with her husband and his More bandmate, Kane Ritchotte, when the burglary took place around 1am.

They detected the sound of glass breaking from a side door of the house and McRae proceeded to check it out.
As he spotted Holdrick and another individual—both clad in balaclavas and gloves—breaking into the property, the singer and guitarist yelled 'hey, stop' and then stepped back.
He returned to the bedroom where he and his partner were residing, secured the door, and instructed Taylor-Joy to conceal herself beneath the bed.
McRae subsequently equipped himself with a lamp as the intruders began to force the bedroom door open using a crowbar.
The musician yelled that he was carrying a weapon, causing the burglars to halt their attempts to force open the door, and following a short conversation amongst themselves regarding the gun, they ran away.
When officers from the Metropolitan Police arrived, Taylor-Joy and McRae were still locked inside the bedroom, with damage evident on the door frame.
The pair informed authorities that they had been deeply affected by the incident, and were worried about potentially being targeted once more.
